I'm Rick Castle
Mystery novelist and NYPD civilian investigator.
My partner is Kate Beckett
Smart, savvy and the best detective in New York.
Together we fight crime.
This is our story.
Showed this to Beckett this morning when I got to the 12th. Told her that I would have preferred to be caught in this kind of bank heist, rather than the one Mother and I were stuck in back in October.
First she smacked me in the shoulder, then she rolled her eyes at me, and after a moment of silence, said that she was really glad Trapper John wasn’t George Clooney.
…I’m really not sure what to make of that response.

Is Kate actually going to post on this blog or just Rick?Anonymous
She will be, in time. Don’t worry. We’re just both a little tuckered out after this recent case.

detective beckett you have the most amazing fashion sense! the scarf you wore last night looked beautiful on you!Anonymous
I uh…thank you. Have we met in person? I didn’t realize we had an audience.
- Beckett
Kate, why don't you have a Twitter account?Anonymous
It’s really just not my sort of thing, Anonymous. I enjoy my privacy. Besides, Castle tends to tweet enough about work for the both of us, anyway.

Hey!
Well…that’s true, I guess. At least you’re on the blog.
- Rick
For now.

Rough case this week. It always leaves us feeling a little empty inside when there’s still some missing pieces to the puzzle at the end of the day.
Kate and I are just thankful that we were able to clear Mayor Weldon of all wrong-doing in this mystery.

—but I do love writing about crime!
And honestly? A blog isso not paperwork. It’s much more fun!
In an effort to prove to my lovely partner that this idea of mine would not fall on her shoulders alone, I present to you our shiny, new crime blog!
We’ll both share our insights on our latest cases (within means, of course) and chronicle our adventures into New York City’s seedy underbelly of murders and mayhem.
Grab a cup of coffee, take a seat and enjoy the ride.
